New in Theaters: “I.S.S.”, “Origin”, and “Founders Day”

1.  I.S.S.  (R)  Trailer

A sci-fi thriller starring Ariana DeBose and Chris Messina as astronauts aboard the International Space Station who are ordered to take control of it by any means necessary after war breaks out on Earth between the U.S. and Russia.

2.  Origin  (PG-13)  Trailer

A biographical drama starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor as author Isabel Wilkerson, whose own tragedy propelled her to write the best-seller “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents”, which is about how racism in the U.S. is an aspect of a caste system.

It’s written and directed by “Selma” director Ava DuVernay

The cast also includes Jon BernthalVera FarmigaAudra McDonaldNiecy NashNick Offerman, and Blair Underwood.

3.  Founders Day  (R)  Trailer

A slasher that doubles down as political satire.  It’s about a small town being terrorized by a masked killer in the days leading up to a heated mayoral election.  It’s written by the Bloomquist brothers, Erik and Carson.

4.  Which Brings Me to You  (Unrated)  Trailer  (Limited)

Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff are two romantic burnouts who put the brakes on hooking up to first exchange candid confessions about their past romances, in the hopes that this time it could be the real thing.
