New in Theaters: “Silent Night” and “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé”

1.  Silent Night  (R)  Trailer

Joel Kinnaman witnesses his young son die on Christmas Eve after being caught in a gang’s crossfire, which also left him without a voice.  He then begins to train rigorously and avenge his son.

This action thriller is from director John Woo, and the producer of “John Wick”.  It also stars Kid Cudi and Colombian actress Catalina Sandino Moreno.

2.  Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé  (PG-13)  Trailer

It highlights the making of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” album and a behind-the-scenes look at the development and execution of her world tour.  Of course, her husband Jay-Z and their three children are in it.

It also has guest appearances from Diana RossMegan Thee Stallion, and Kendrick Lamar.

3.  Godzilla Minus One  (PG-13)  Trailer  (Limited)

This is a Japanese film, with English subtitles.  After World War 2, Japan must face another deadly force:  Godzilla.

4.  The Shift  (PG-13)  Trailer  (Limited)

Kevin Garner meets a mysterious man known as “The Benefactor” who offers wealth and power.  But when he refuses, he’s shifted into alternate totalitarian realities and separated from his wife.  He must fight to return to his original reality.

Kevin is played by Kristoffer Polaha from “Jurassic World Dominion”, and the Benefactor is Neal McDonough from “Suits”.  It also stars Sean Astin.
