This is the first in a new trilogy and it’s a direct sequel to the first “Exorcist” film from 1973.  Ellen Burstyn returns as Chris MacNeil.  She’s the mother of Regan, you know, the 12-year-old girl who was possessed in the original.

It takes place 50 years later in the present-day.  Two young girls become possessed after wandering into the woods.  And the father of one of the girls contacts Regan’s mom for help, since she went through a similar experience.

It stars Leslie Odom JuniorAnn Dowd from “The Handmaid’s Tale”, and Jennifer Nettles of the country duo Sugarland.

2.  She Came to Me  (R)  Trailer  (Limited)

Peter Dinklage stars as an opera composer going through a writer’s block.  His psychiatrist wife Anne Hathaway suggests he goes for a walk to get inspiration.  Then he meets tugboat captain Marisa Tomei and has a one-night stand.

He uses that experience to complete his opera, and depicts her as a psychotic serial killer in it.  But he then suffers the consequences when she begins to stalk him.
