‘Little People, Big World’ star Jeremy Roloff quitting show

(CNN) – When “Little People, Big World” first premiered on TLC, Jeremy Roloff was 16 years old.

Now a 28-year-old married father of an infant daughter, Roloff has announced he and his wife Audrey are leaving the reality show.

“This is an announcement concerning Jeremy Roloff and his family specifically: After 14 years, over 300 episodes, and 17 seasons, the time has come,” he wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of him, Audrey and their baby Ember Jean. “A year ago I made the decision that this season would be our last.”

The series actually debuted in 2006 and followed the lives of Matt and Amy Roloff, along with their four children, Zach, Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob.

Matt, Amy and Zach have dwarfism, while Jeremy (Zach’s fraternal twin), Molly and Jacob are average height.

Over the years there have been plenty of changes, including Amy and Matt divorcing, Zach, Jeremy and Molly getting married, and both Zach and Jeremy becoming parents.

As for the future, Jeremy Roloff wrote that he and his wife have “a lot of exciting stuff in the works and are eager to continue the work that the Lord has called us to!”

He thanked both the fans and TLC for their support.

“It has been an amazing run, and I can’t say thank you enough to all of you who have watched and supported us along the ride,” he wrote. “We have the most loyal fans on TV and we appreciate every one of you.”

Roloff also wanted to make sure viewers didn’t take his announcement as news the series was ending.

“We will still be supporting the family as they carry the #LPBW torch onward,” he wrote. “This is a decision concerning Audrey and me specifically — the show must go on!”
