“The Upside” Upset “Aquaman” to Win the Box Office

Maybe all that talkin’ about the Oscar controversy worked out for KEVIN HART, because his movie “The Upside”with Bryan Cranston won the box office. It made $19.6 million this weekend, which is about TWICE what some experts predicted.  “Aquaman” made another $17.3 million to come in second.  Here’s this weekend’s Top 10 . . .

2.  “Aquaman”, $17.3 million.  Up to $287.9 million in its 4th week.

 

3.  NEW:  “A Dog’s Way Home”, $11.3 million.

 

4.  “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, $9 million.  Up to $147.8 million in its 5th week.

 

5.  “Escape Room”, $8.9 million.  Up to $32.4 million in its 2nd week.

 

6.  “Mary Poppins Returns”, $7.2 million.  Up to $150.7 million in its 4th week.

 

7.  “Bumblebee”, $6.8 million.  Up to $108.5 million in its 4th week.

 

8.  “On the Basis of Sex”, $6.2 million.  Up to $10.6 million in its 3rd week.

By the way, the Keanu Reeves movie “Replicas” debuted in 12th place with just $2.5 million, which is his careerWORST opening for a movie in wide release.
